CORE ASSOCIATES was established in October, 2010 as a Limited Liability Private Shareholding Company in accordance with Palestinian Company Registration requirements. Since its inception, the company has signed contracts and executed projects with internationally renowned business associations, institutions and Financing agencies (USAID, GIZ, European Union, and UN).
CORE ASSOCIATES provides timely, pragmatic and cost-efficient advice and training in the context of economic and trade policy and negotiations, the formulation and implementation of national policy and private sector development. CORE ASSOCIATES’ approach, stemming from its social responsibility, is to keep in mind the importance of building institutions and human resources in all our activities. Throughout the years, CORE ASSOCIATES has built a close network of local consultants and experts in a variety of sectors, particularly in the field of trade and economic analysis and policy formulation within the Palestinian context, Palestinian private and public sectors dynamics, Public-Private dialogue, training and capacity building, analysis of regulatory frameworks, research, counseling and strategic planning, due diligence, SMEs capacities and assessment among other related areas. In addition, CORE ASSOCIATES has a solid network of international companies and consultants in our areas of expertise.

Saad Khatib; Shareholder


Saad Khatib has amassed experience in private sector development on the institutional as well as the firm level. His experience in Palestine and the MENA region ranges from trade policy, trade development, trade facilitation and competitiveness, tourism policy and promotion, to advocacy of private sector needs for development, industrial development and policy and Trade negotiations. Khatib has utilized the holistic approach to economic development through macro, meso and micro level interventions and outputs that complement each other and formulate a complete approach through a building block process, with a focus on gender inclusive economic development, as well as youth empowerment.

Khatib Possesses specialized expertise in the World Trade Organization accession requirements, Technical Barriers to Trade, Sanitary and Phytosanitary Requirements, Public Procurement, Competitiveness, Economic Development, Trade Negotiations and Trade Development. Khatib, through his experience as Secretary General of the Palestinian Federation of Industries, and in working with the various industry associations, will bring the industrial development outlook and methodology, especially considering that he has conducted related work on a regional level, including the League of Arab States, Jordan, Iraq and Yemen, as well as Palestine.

Saeb Bamyeh; Shareholder


Mr. Bamya is the Managing Partner of Core Associates, a private policy, planning and private sector development consulting firm in Palestine, he has occupied positions in the Public and Private sectors and has long term expertise in private sector development. Prior to establishing Core Associates, Mr. Bamya was Team Leader of the Private Sector Technical Unit, responsible for the dialogue between the Public and Private Sectors. Mr. Bamya was Advisor to the Prime Minister on European Affairs. Prior to that he was Deputy Minister of National Economy.

He is the Palestinian Coordinator for the Aix Group, an economic think tank that includes Palestinians, Israelis and Internationals such as the EC, World Bank, IMF… etc. Among other things, Mr. Bamya was the lead negotiator from the Palestinian side for the negotiations towards free trade agreements with the EU, EFTA in 1997, Canada in 1998 and Turkey in 2004. He was also one of the leading members of the Joint Economic Committee between Palestine and Israel, and also led the Palestinian Economic Team during the disengagement negotiations with Israel. Mr. Bamya is an expert on Palestinian – Israeli Economic Relations.
